Sustainability
We are committed to sustainability and environmental conservation. We incorporate green building techniques and materials whenever feasible, and often with no impact on the overall budget through the use of daylight, and careful attention to the building envelope. We can also expedite the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process.
EGL Architecture is a member of the US Green Building Council, and the principal, Emma Gonzalez-Laders is a LEED Accredited Professional; a credential given to building professionals who demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles. Emma Gonzalez-Laders serves in the Programs committee of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the US Green Building Council.
EGL Architecture is also an Ally Designer with the New York Energy $mart Small Commercial Lighting Program, a partner with Energy Star, and a friend of the Green Building Initiative
