EGL Architecture was established in September 2000. We are a small firm dedicated to residential and commercial new construction and renovation. Being a small firm enables us to provide a direct involvement and a personal approach through the design process. We are involved in all stages of the project from conception to completion.

The Principal, Emma Gonzalez-Laders, has a bachelors of Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Catholic Mother and Mentor, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Having an international background gives us a broader perspective in terms of design solutions and styles.

Emma is licensed to practice in New York State, and prior to founding EGL Architecture, she had 9 years of experience in the field. Her experience encompasses a wide range of projects including residential construction and alteration, retail spaces, restaurants, and churches. We produce all our work using Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD).

EGL Architecture is a member of the US Green Building Council*, where Emma is a LEED AP, a credential given to building professionals who demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles. In addition, EGL Architecture is a member of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce*, an Ally Designer with the New York Energy $mart Small Commercial Lighting Program and a proud sponsor of the Adopt-A-Highway program in the Town of Goshen.
